Customer: Inizio CLS (Creative Lighting Solutions)
Project: Rouwcentrum Valckenhorst, Sliedrecht
Products: Luxento Musa en Logo, Zen-Lite

For one of our clients projects, a funeral home, we had to come up with a solution to integrate multiple brands and lighting protocols. And we had to make sure we didn’t compromise the tailor-made ceiling of the building. Thanks to our Zen-Lite control solutions, we made sure all owner, staff and visitors could set their desired atmosphere with the press of a button.

This project proved to be quite a challenge. The building has a special ceiling that limits the possibilities when it comes lighting and steering. The customer did have a number of specific needs when it came to the control system and functionality. The building also had to be made futureproof.

Extensive steering often requires complicated controls. On top of that, the lighting designer used multiple brands with different dimming protocols. The question then became: how do you integrate all these fixtures and protocols? That’s where we came in.

We solved this problem with out Zen-Lite controls. This system allows us to integrate both our own products and those of other brands in one user friendly control solution. The owners, staff and visitors can create their own desired atmosphere with the press of a button.

During opening hours the light in the building is automatically controlled with time switching. Outside of opening hours, visitors can enter with a clock key. On arrival, a sensor will take the lighting system out of the energy-efficient night mode so that visitors regain control of the lighting.

Everything works wirelessly, allowing the tailor-made ceiling to remain intact centrally in the building. Changes can be made locally with the Zen-Lite control app. The Luxento luminaires are chosen and composed by space. The different rooms have different appearances and functions.

With the decorative Musa range, different variants are composed in quantity of light, colors of the enclosures, degree beams and more. For example, in a large hall with different ceiling heights, the same light image has been created by working with power and degree beams.
For the spaces that are only accessible to staff, the functional Luxento Logo luminaires have been used. These give the right amount of light as prescribed by the lighting designer, with a pleasant soft and even spread.
